About Incarn

The Story

Incarn started with a single photograph -a sepia portrait of my great-great-grandmother, taken sometime in the late 1800s. Like most old family photos, it was still, silent, and distant. I wanted to see her move. I wanted to feel like she was real.

I'm Ronan, a French developer. When I searched for tools to animate ancestor photos, I found options that were either too expensive, required heavy software, or produced results that felt unnatural. So I built Incarn -a simple, accessible tool that brings ancestor photos to life using the latest AI technology.

What started as a personal project quickly resonated with others. Family history is universal. Everyone has photos of people they never got to meet, ancestors they only know through old pictures. Incarn lets you see them -really see them -for the first time.

The Technology

Incarn is powered by Seedance 2.0, one of the most advanced AI video generation models available today. Unlike older tools such as Deep Nostalgia -which simply looped a pre-recorded motion pattern -Seedance synthesizes entirely new, natural motion tailored to each individual face.

The result is smoother, more realistic, and more personal. The AI detects facial landmarks, understands the unique structure of each face, and generates subtle movements -a gentle turn of the head, a natural blink, a slight smile -that feel genuinely lifelike.

We continuously evaluate new AI models and update the engine when better technology becomes available. Our goal is always the best possible result for your photos.

Privacy First

We take privacy seriously -especially because you're trusting us with photos of your family. Uploaded photos are automatically deleted after 7 days. Generated videos are retained for 30 days, then removed. We never use your photos to train AI models. We never share them with third parties beyond what's required to process your animation.
